What is available ?
In addition to the lessons in schools the Conwy Music Service runs Music Centres after school with orchestras, ensembles,bands and choirs for pupils at both junior (primary) and senior (secondary) level. Different activities take place in different parts of the county with the aim of giving as many young people as possible the chance to participate. Advanced pupils are encouraged to take part in regional ensembles and Welsh National Youth Music activities.

LLANDUDNO MUSIC CENTRE
Meeting on MONDAYS during the Autumn and Spring Terms there is a Junior Orchestra, Junior and Senior Guitar Groups and, for secondary school pupils, contemporary music band practice.

PENRHYN BAY MUSIC CENTRE
The County Youth Orchestra and a Senior Contemporary Music Group meet on THURSDAYS in Ysgol Y Creuddyn. For concerts they are joined by the Senior Harp Ensembles which rehearse in schools.

LLANRWST MUSIC CENTRE
In this school in the south of the county a Junior Orchestra and a Classical Guitar Ensemble meet on THURSDAYS. The service is keen to encourage young musicians who live in the most rural areas to join together and experience the fun of group music.
